Bauer Vapor Hyperlite Senior Hockey Shin Guards

Bauer rolls out the new Vapor Hyperlite protective series for the 2022 season. The shin guards are equipped with an X-Lite Shield cap and ergodynamic design, Hyperlite HD foam, Dynaflex anchor straps, a Thermocore Zero liner, and EXOLite skin on the calf and calf guard. With the new Hyperlite line of protectives, Bauer continues to develop an ideal line for the most agile out on the ice.

Shin Protection
The Vapor Hyperlite shin guards stick to the anatomically molded X-Lite Shield cap, as seen in the 2X series. This cap design contours around the leg for a closer fit, giving you better protection, a comfier feel, and a deeper fit. This innovation overall will help keep you nimble on the ice.

Knee Cap & Protection
Bauer sticks to the Ergodynamic Lab knee for the Vapor Hyperlite shin guards because it gives a deeper fit for more protection, along with a comfier feel. On agility-based equipment, a closer fit is ideal since it can reduce more potential wind resistance.

Calf Protection
The Vapor Hyperlite shin guards are outfitted with EXOLite skin on the calf and calf guard. EXOLite skin is known for its amazing ability to absorb impact energy, which is why you’ll find it across the entire Hyperlite collection. Most shin guards won’t protect this area to the extent of including a shield here. EXOLite material is good because it adds protection without sacrificing any mobility to do so.

Liner
The liner is Bauers’ upgraded Thermocore Zero, designed not only to wick away moisture and repel odour but also to allow for enhanced airflow, so you can keep cool while playing. The liner itself is completely removable if you want some extra space in the knee cap area.

Strapping
Like the elbow pads, the Vapor Hyperlite shin guards use Dynaflex anchor straps to hold the pads steady along the upper portion of your leg. The calf strap itself that holds the lower portion is a tough Tunefit strap, ensuring comfort and stability while you play. Dynaflex is softer than Tunefit, but it is still just as strong.

Sizes
The Vapor Hyperlite Senior shin guards come in 15”, 16”, and 17” sizes. Refer to the size guide for instructions on how to size shin guards. If you’re looking for a smaller size, the Hyperlite shin guards also come in Intermediate and Junior sizes.
